Nokia needs retail reps to recommend its new handsets in the face of compelling competitive handset offerings. Street teams train and orient reps with key Nokia selling messages but can't come close to holding the attention of 20,000 retail outlets with field force alone.

Nokia now deploys game-based training with "learn and earn" incentives to appeal to reps - and get them competing for game culture rights. The national leader board and incentive prize package up the ante and drive participation.

It works! Reps got excited about Nokia and on-point about product advantages. Over 5000 reps from 1200 retail stores played the game online, averaging almost four website visits per rep. One third of the reps spent between 30 minutes and 2 hours with the training material. The number of reps specifying Nokia over competitors tripled after the training!
